With 19 years of leadership in education within the Admiralty and Woodlands estate, Yew’s Tuition Centre identified a significant challenge: many students, particularly those performing below the cohort average, struggle to focus and succeed in traditional, larger classroom environments.
To address this, we established WhizMinds Academy, a trademarked brand in Singapore, designed specifically to cater to the needs of these students. Through small, focused group sessions and individualised subject tutoring, we provide the personalised attention and tailored support necessary to drive academic improvement. At WhizMinds Academy, we are committed to empowering every learner to reach their full potential, fostering both confidence and academic success in a targeted, structured learning environment.

Establishment of Yew's Tuition Centre
Yew’s Tuition Centre Pte Ltd (YTC) was established in 2004, as a home-based tuition service, providing tutoring for Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary, and Junior College levels.
Local Expansion
Over the years, YTC grew into two centre-based branches located in Woodlands & Admiralty.
Successfully taught over 10,000 students
Successfully guided over 10,000 students from a variety of abilities and backgrounds.
Establishment of WhizMinds Academy
In 2023, we took a significant step forward by launching WhizMinds Academy Learning Centre Pte. Ltd., dedicated to providing academic support through meticulously crafted programmes that foster critical thinking skills and creativity.
Local & Regional Expansion
This initiative has already achieved regional growth, with branches established in Malaysia and the Philippines, along with further expansion into Singapore’s East Region.
2024 & beyond
WhizMinds Academy is set to open 5 more outlets in 2024 and an additional 8 outlets in 2025, reflecting continued growth and success.
